As a student in the Department of Agriculture you will benefit from opportunities such as these:

  • Honors Program:

    Qualified students are encouraged to become involved in the Department Honors Program. To be admitted to the program students must have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 and a 3.7 GPA for all Agriculture classes.

    Students in the Honors Program benefit from study in agricultural topics of the student's own choosing with seminar-style research. To graduate with departmental honors, students must satisfy the following requirements:

  • Two in-course honors in 200-level or above courses in the department

  • Successful completion of one in-course honors 200-level or above course outside the department

  • Completion of a minimum of three hours of AGR 299, Independent Honors Study

    The University Honors Program also offers special opportunities for qualified students.
